Reception

We would love to welcome your child at Bradshaw. To learn more about our amazing school, please read the information below - we would also encourage all prospective parents to attend an Open Evening to get a feel for the school, have a look around, meet the team, and ask any questions they might have. 

 

Admissions

The deadline for applying for a place for your child to start in our Reception class in September 2026 is 15th January 2026.

Applications need to be completed through the Calderdale Primary Admissions portal. For further information on this, please click here.

Buddies Scheme

At Bradshaw, we have Year 2 buddies to help our Reception pupils with settling into school throughout the year, showing them the way, spending time with them in class, supporting them with indoor and outdoor play and really getting to them as they start their school journey with us.  

We hope that lifelong friendships and social skills will be developed as a result, whilst ensuring our children make a smooth transition to Bradshaw.

Wrap-around Care

All pupils at Bradshaw from preschool through to year 6 can access our Bradshaw Buddies breakfast and afterschool clubs. Sessions run from 7:30am to 6pm.
